The second generation of Nissan Almera debuted at the March 1999 Geneva Motor Show, and the following year the car appeared on sale. In two thousand and three years at the Paris exhibition was presented a refreshed version of the car, which was kept in the conveyor up to 2006. Front suspension of the Almera of the 2nd generation is independent with McPherson struts and semiindependent design with a multilever prop is used at the rear. “The second” Nissan Almera has such positive aspects, as the usual and reliable construction, low maintenance costs, acceptable fuel consumption, a solid level of safety, excellent maneuverability and quite capacious interior. Negative aspects – cheap interior trim materials, stiff (and immediately power-consuming) suspension, weak noise isolation, not quite a tractive engine and not good dipped beam.
